Lancashire Hearing Voices Network - new regional network


On Wednesday 15th February 2012, Lancashire Hearing Voices Network will be holding an event to launch a new regional network for the support and empowerment of those who suffer emotional distress from hearing voices, unusual beliefs and tactile experiences.

This event will include the following speakers:

  • Dr Rufus May - Clinical Psychologist
  • Rachel Waddingham - Voice Collective (Young People)
  • Erica Irene - Dutch Hearing Voices Network
  • Paul Hammersley — Lancaster University

Registration, tea & coffee: 9.15—9.45am
Close of event: 4.00pm
Buffet lunch included
Cost: £40 Waged / £25 Students and part time / £15 Unwaged

Radio star

This Friday at 11am our Group Chair, Lindsey Cree, is being interviewed on BBC Radio M/c, 95.1 FM by Heather Stott. Lindsey will be talking about carers of those with a mental illness. Do tune in if you can. Good luck Lindsey we know you'll be great!

Our meeting this Weds 11th March

Our next meeting will be on Wednesday 11th March starting at 6pm for tea, coffee and biccies, and ending at 8pm. Lauren Bate, our Rethink link, will be coming along to our group this Wednesday. We want you to tell us what you get out of the group and what would you like to see more of. If you are travelling by public transport, Manchester Carers Centre is directly across the road from the New Islington Metrolink stop (Droylsden Line).
